Hi, I’m Billy, a social media video content creator. I’ve worked in social for over 8 years (it does feel like a long time when you write it down, right?) in a variety of different roles that are listed above.

My passion has always been in creating content that captures imagination in an
ever-changing world
where attention is hard to get and even harder to keep.

I can film, edit, produce, direct, concept, present and do on a regular basis across a host of different clients and projects. Let’s dive into those now!

PREMIER LEAGUE X EA SPORTS

Roles: Creative, Video Editor, Producer
 

EA Sports and the Premier League wanted to combine forces to make social content that would in turn drive audiences to purchase the EA Sports game FC (formerly known as FIFA). We created a weekly show made for YouTube where we interviewed footballers and got them to either play the game in various formats or reference the different game modes during the interview, whilst also filming separate social cutdowns for Shorts, Instagram and TikTok.
 

In my first season as producer/editor, we recorded an all-time high total views of 6.1m on longform content and 33m views on socials, going on to hit 56m social views the season after and 70m+ views in 2023/24.


The series also received two Broadcast Sports Awards nominations - in 2021 for Best Social Media Campaign and again in 2022 for Short-form Content of the Year.

HAGER x VENDÉE GLOBE

Roles: Creative, Video Editor, Script Writer, Voiceover Artist

Skipper Fabrice Amedeo was on a journey to become the first person to complete the Vendée Globe, a solo-sailing boat race around the world, without using fossil fuels. Hager Group sponsored this voyage and wanted to raise awareness of the mission through their social platforms. 

​

We created a series of short videos that went out on Hager’s social channels (vertical and 4x5) that documented important parts of Fabrice’s journey, whilst also pushing social-first concepts, such as boat tours and our ‘Ask Fabrice’ series.

SCRABBLE TOGETHER

Roles: Creative, Director

 

Mattel had launched its variation of the popular Scrabble game, Scrabble Together, earlier in 2024 but wanted to make a splash on social. We were tasked with putting together a 30s YouTube ad promoting the board game. Budget was tight, so I ended up starring in it as well as directing!

The result? At the time of writing, we have 2.6m views from the YouTube ad with an impressive 60% VTR.​​​​​

OMODA WALKAROUNDS

Roles: Creative, Social Edit, Script Editor

OMODA had recently launched their new cars, the 5 and the E5, in the UK market and needed our help to promote them in a competitive market. Walkaround videos are usually quite dull and corporate-salesy, so we decided to give it a social first twist with hooks and additional graphics optimised for YouTube. I also edited multiple social cutdowns from the long-form content.

 

With close to one million views across both videos, the walkarounds are getting good traction on the platform and massively overperforming vs competitors.

SOME EXTRA BITS

During ocassional evenings and weekends, I work as a videographer, editor and commentator for non-league football club

Hornchurch FC. I also run my own TikTok account - @tops_fpl where I give advice on Fantasy Premier League (FPL), a virtual game based on real life football results, and present social media roundups on LinkedIn/Instagram.
